Despite the chaos caused by the pandemic and the various restrictions in place, three Fit Cobblers blocks were ridden in 2021, with the last block ending on November 25th. We were grateful to continue our partnership with Northamptonshire Public Health and the Northamptonshire Community Foundation, from which we have received funding through December 2022 to run the Fit Cobblers program.
We were also pleased to partner with North Northants Council to deliver a pilot block from Fit Cobblers in Wellingborough, where we were delivered along with our Northampton block from May onwards.
Due to the Covid protocols that still prevailed at the beginning of 2021, registrations had to be limited to 15 participants and bubbles had to be organized with a maximum of 5 participants per table / group. In the last block, which was delivered from September to November 2021, the number of registrations rose to 20 participants.
The free twelve-week course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, support, and activity to make small lifestyle changes that can be beneficial to their health. If you are thinking of losing weight and improving your health, you are not alone and this is the perfect first step to joining a group of like-minded men to help you achieve this.
Despite the challenges of Covid, the Fit Cobblers program had another year of fantastic effects, life-changing choices, and weight loss successes. To see the Fit Cobblers’ impact over the year, please look at the following statistics:

Total number of participants who lost 3% of their body weight: 23

As a foundation, we are excited to expand our Fit Cobblers program to women, which will give us even more impact on the community. “
It is important that, looking back over the year, the participants felt that the trip had a major impact on their lifestyle. Especially when shopping, eating and exercising, they feel that they can now better control their decisions.
In 2022 we are happy to announce that more blocks will be available to book and our first block “Female Fit Cobblers” will start soon!
