It also has a commercial kitchen and a well-established restaurant that offers a menu of locally grown and grown produce.
Ciro Ciampi said: “We have been happy to run the hotel since 2006 but we think the time is right for a new operator to take over the helm.
“With the scope to develop the functional business so that the 300-seat banquet suite is fully utilized, we see an exciting opportunity for a new owner to expand the hotel and take it to the next level.”
Ed Bellfield, Regional Director at Christie & Co’s Winchester office, is in charge of sales. He said: “The Sharnbrook Hotel offers a unique opportunity to acquire a successful property hotel in a very desirable location in the heart of the Bedfordshire countryside.
“Just 15 miles north of Bedford on the A6 and only 37 miles from Junction 14 of the M1, it is very easy to get to and we anticipate a lot of interest.”
Christie & Co is targeting an asking price of £ 3.95 million plus VAT for the ownership interest.
