The A5 in Northants has reopened this evening (Sunday) after a serious collision. National Highways says the collision involved two vehicles.
Drivers were warned that the A5 was closed in both directions between the A508 for Old Stratford and the A43 for Towcester. National Highways reopened the road shortly after 6.15pm.
Emergency services are at the scene. It’s unknown if there have been any casualties.

National Highways says: “The A5 in Northamptonshire is closed in both directions between the A508 (Old Stratford) and the A43 (Towcester) due to a serious collision involving two cars.
“Emergency services including Northamptonshire Police are in attendance. National Highways Contractors will also be assisting with traffic management.
“Due to the severity of the incident, the road is likely to remain closed for some time.”
