British Prime Minister Johnson is getting married in a secret ceremony

According to media reports, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson married his fiancée Carrie Symonds in a secret ceremony on Saturday at Westminster Cathedral.

A spokeswoman for Johnson’s Downing Street office declined to comment.

Sunday newspapers Sun and Mail said the guests were invited to the ceremony in central London at the last minute, and that even senior members of Johnson’s office were unaware of the wedding plans.

England weddings are currently limited to 30 people due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Johnson, 56, and Symonds, 33, have lived together on Downing Street since taking office as Prime Minister in 2019.

They announced their engagement last year – and had a son together.

Johnson was previously married to lawyer Marina Wheeler for 25 years, with whom he has four children.

Prior to Wheeler, Johnson was married to celebrity Allegra Mostyn-Owen. Symonds will be his third wife.
