Lucy Wightman, joint director of public health for North and West Northamptonshire Councils, says, “Tests for those without symptoms, often referred to as LFT or LFD tests, are an integral part of our armory in lowering Northamptonshire rates through selection and keep down one in three people with COVID-19 who have no symptoms.
“The government made LFT or LFD test kits available to everyone starting April 9th. I encourage Northamptonshire residents to access free, regular rapid coronavirus tests, especially if you cannot work from home and your employer does not currently offer workplace tests. ”
There are several ways to access LFT tests: Community-based websites for asymptomatic testing in locations across the county https://www.northamptonshire.gov.uk/coronavirus-updates/covid-19-testing/Pages/community -based -testing-centers.aspx through the Community Collect service, which you can use to collect packages for home use. You can find the closest ones at https://maps.test-and-trace.nhs.uk/findatestcenter.html If you can’t get to an asymptomatic test site or can’t easily access Community Collect, you can go to https: // www. gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests Order test kits for home delivery
