Follow the updates as Prime Minister Boris Johnson admits that only 127 of the 300 tanker driver visas to work in the UK were issued instantly.
They are among the 5,000 visas offered to truck drivers.
The Prime Minister told BBC Breakfast: “It is a fascinating illustration of the problem of shortage.

“We said to the road haulage industry, ‘Okay, give us the names of the drivers you’d like to bring and we’ll take care of the visas, you have another 5,000 visas.’
“You have only produced 127 names so far. What that shows is the global scarcity. “
As of yesterday (October 4th), military drivers have been deployed to deliver fuel to gas stations while the fuel crisis persists.
Almost 200 military personnel, including 100 drivers, have trained at haulier locations, reports Der Spiegel.
As of today, they will start deliveries to relieve the situation at petrol stations – which, according to the ministers, is starting to normalize again.
