Cumbria found to be one of the least haunted areas in the UK

RECENT spooky studies have found that Cumbria is one of the least haunted places in the UK, making it perfect for those with a fear of the paranormal.

The property experts at Buzz Capital have analyzed over 10,000 entries on the UK’s Paranormal Database to find the areas in the UK you should avoid buying property if you are afraid of the paranormal.

Analyzing 27 counties, the results show that Cumbria is the fourth least haunted county in the UK with 232 unique instances of folkloric, paranormal and cryptozoological sightings. This equates to just 9 hauntings per 100 miles. Whereas London is the worst place to live if you are afraid of ghosts.

Cumbria places in front of Rutland, Northamptonshire and Northumberland. It placed behind Lincolnshire.

A comment from one of the researchers said:

“From witches to poltergeists, Great Britain, with its desolate moorlands, crumbling castles and grisly history, is a must-visit destination for horror fans. Since humans first settled on the island, tales of faeries, stalking cryptids and spirits seeking retribution have plagued the populace.”

“As Halloween approaches, there’s no better time to experience the thrill of being frightened.”
