Greedy Gordons open two pubs in Northamptonshire

Greedy Gordons, a Northamptonshire pub and retail company, has announced plans to open two pubs in the county.

Richard Gordon and Sonya Harvey, co-owners of the group, directed The Red Lion in Cranford over the past four years and aim to create 60 new jobs with this new company.

The Pig and the Waffle at Grafton Underwood near Kettering is a private lease with Boughton Estates and is set to open in early June. Gordon and Harvey hope it will become a “village center for locals,” meeting all day for food and drinks, including brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, and tapas.

Meanwhile, the Snooty Fox in Lowick, which the group acquired prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, will open its doors in early July.

The pub, which was slated to open last April, offers locals a place to drink and eat.

Gordon, who has worked in the hospitality industry for 35 years, including food development for McManus Pub Company and Area Manager for Northamptonshire Inns said, “Our focus right now is on finally welcoming customers to our wonderful new pubs and continuing to safely maximize trade at The Red Lion.

“But we have an appetite to open more locations in Northamptonshire, including Northampton, when the time and opportunity is right.”
