Schools across Northamptonshire have an opportunity to win a school trip to remember with exclusive access to the new Dinosaurs in the Park event at Delapré Abbey on July 20 before it opens to the public the next day.

This roarsome competition to be the first to experience this dinosaur adventure is open to all primary schools, nurseries and playgroups with children under 12.

One lucky group will win up to 100 free child places, plus essential adults and carers and £250 towards travel.

Dinosaurs in the Park is a whole day of fun for all the family. Featuring a trail of 35 life-size moving and roaring dinosaurs including the big favorites T-Rex, Triceratops, and Velociraptors, and lots of less well-known species, the park also offers a range of free attractions and a food court all located in the beautiful gardens and woodland of Delapré Abbey in Northampton.

The event takes place from July 21 until August 7.

Sven Schmidt, Dinosaurs in the Park co-founder, said: “The last two years have been very tough for schools and other groups, with many not having any trips during this time.

“We wanted to give a lucky school or group the opportunity to win a trip that children will never forget – their own dinosaur adventure.”

Richard Clinton, Chief Executive of Delapré Abbey, said: “We are very excited about hosting Dinosaurs in the Park at Delapré Abbey and look forward to welcoming the very first visitors to the event – our competition winners.

“What an amazing opportunity for a lucky school or group to win a day out to remember and to be able to tell their friends about their experience.”

To enter the competition schools need to visit the Dinosaurs in the Park website and say why they feel their school should win the trip. The winning school will be announced on July 4.
