Princess Diana’s jewelry collection “earmarked” for Princess Charlotte

Princess Charlotte, daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, is likely to inherit Princess Diana’s iconic jewelry collection, according to a royal expert.

The six-year-old will have “choices of palace jewels” when she gets older, including “priceless” heirlooms belonging to her late grandmother, the Princess of Wales, the Daily Express reports.

As the elder of Diana’s two granddaughters – the other is the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor – Charlotte comes first for the collection.

She is also the only daughter of Prince William, who is likely to take the throne one day.

The royal insider also claimed that there are two things Charlotte already have in mind.

One of them is said to be the Spencer tiara that Lady Di wore on the day of her wedding to Prince Charles on July 29, 1981.

The eye-catching headdress had belonged to the Spencer family for nearly a century before the royal wedding.

It was worn at the weddings of her two older sisters, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes.

The tiara was made in part from a wedding gift Lady Sarah Spencer gave in 1919 to Lady Cynthia Hamilton, Diana’s grandmother, for her marriage to Viscount Althorp.

Diana chose to use the Spencer family heirloom instead of borrowing one from the Queen’s collection as Meghan Markle did in 2018.

Palace sources say talks are ongoing to secure the heirloom, according to GoodToKnow.

It is currently with Diana’s youngest brother Charles, 9th Earl Spencer, for Charlotte.

The source claimed, “William is well aware that the earl has daughters of his own, but the two agree that Diana’s iconic piece belongs to her first granddaughter.”

Another royal insider told Australian magazine New Idea that Charlotte knew about the iconic headdress by learning about her grandmother Diana.

They said, “Lottie knows everything about her ‘Granny Diana’ – after all, Diana is one of her middle names. She has also seen pictures in which she wears the tiara. “

Tradition dictates that brides wait until the wedding day before wearing the tiara for the first time, so Charlotte may have to wait a while before trying it on.

It comes when new research suggests the girl could become the richest member of the royal family when she grows up.

Electric Ride on Cars study suggests the princess will far surpass her older and younger brothers in wealth, potentially worth up to £ 3.6 billion.

It is believed that she has the potential to earn more than her brothers because of the “Kate Middleton Effect”.

It is believed that Prince George amassing just under £ 2.2 billion while little Prince Louis could be worth £ 721 million.

Compared to other royal family children, Prince Harry and Meghan’s son Archie is valued at £ 21.6 million when he grows up.
