The Taste of Northampton — which shut down the city’s Main Street in September for a day-long showcase of the diverse local food and beverage industry — is set to return in 2023, organizers said.
“The Taste” had been a popular, multi-day event in the 1990s and early 2000s in which thousands packed the Armory Street parking lot over the course of a weekend to sample Northampton’s popular restaurants, cafes, breweries, ice cream parlors and other culinary draws. Its reincarnation nearly two decades later was a slimmed-down, single-day affair, but still drew at least several thousand as more than 30 businesses lined Main Street on a warm Saturday afternoon in early September.
